Summary: Perfect Compliment Comment: As designed, the Nikon SB-600 Speed Light is the perfect compliment for my Nikon D-80 Digital Camera. It doesn't add a lot of weight to the camera and is the most sophisticated flash I've owned. The manual is well written, so getting started didn't take a lot of time. It recycles quickly and the power selection makes exposure compensations easy. It's intergrated zoom head puts the light just where it needs to go. AMAZON made it possible for me to purchase on Wednesday and be shooting a wedding on Saturday.

Summary: SB600, an enlightening source of light in my life Comment: The SB600 is almost for everybody. Just reading tonight that Nikon introduced on July 1 its new flagship speed light, the SB900 flash. Unless you really need the power as a pro, save some $340.00 and buy SB600. I have been using the SB600 for two years, first with Nikon D70, and now with my bellowed D200. SB600 is probably the best and wisest choice for 90-95% of us, enthusiasts or even retired semi-professionals who used to write (and take their own pictures) while employed by decent print media (like me, in Central Europe.) I have used the SB600 many times, also as a remotely controlled flash. It never disappointed me. In maybe 1-2% situations, any minor range deficiency in lighting of SB600 can easily be adjusted / corrected in Photoshop. If money is absolutely no object or any new hi-tech gadget makes you happy or you know exactly what you are doing and why, then buy SB800 or perhaps it's brand new upgrade, the SB900. Otherwise, the SB600 is powerful, relatively very small and very light to carry in your pocket, if necessary, so go for it.

Summary: Great flash/Great Price Comment: It was an SB-800 or SB-600. After using both inside and outside, it was clear that for your average user the SB-600 was more than enough. For the extras you get with the SB-800 you pay too much for too little. There's definitely a time and a place for the SB-800 but I would recommend anyone to save your money and go with the SB-600...or get 2 even.

Summary: Works great Comment: This flash saved me when I had to photograph my cousins wedding. She chose a very low lit - nearly dark - venue and this flash did not let me down. The anti-red eye worked great and the photographs I took came out great thanks to this flash.

Summary: NIKON SB 600 SPEEDLIGHT FLASH Comment: I had an opportunity to use my new Nikon SB 6OO Speedlight flash at a recent birthday party. My pictures were fantastic with no shadows and no red eyes. If I had known how much this flash would improve my indoor pictures I would have purchased it a lot sooner.
