Summary: Great little camera
Comment: The S550 is a great little camera. Small enough to throw into my purse so I always have it. The 5X zoom comes in handy. The vibration reduction works very well. Macro mode is perfect for closeups of wildflowers. Movie mode with sound is fun to use for those moments with the kids when you just have to catch all the movement. Great supplement for my digital SLR and it's always with me because it's so small. I loaned mine to my daughter and she wouldn't give it back. I just gave one to my 80-year-old mother for an early Christmas present and it's easy enough for her to use and she's having a ball with it. No more worries about how much film she's using. She takes pictures of all the people in the retirement community where she lives and they all love posing and being silly and laughing over the results.

Summary: Cool Camera For Everyone
Comment: Its a nice camera to have for everyone in the family.

Pros - 10MP, sleek size, lightweight, 5x optical makes it very much in demand for any occasion. Another plus is rechargeable battery, no need to keep changing batteries.
Cons - Found that while taking video, the sound level is not so great. But since my main criteria to buy this camera was for pictures only, and not video, it works for me.

Overall, its a very good camera, and worth its cost.

Comment: Beautiful camera. Bought it for my 65 y/o dad for Christmas. He's been upgraded from a 5MP 3X Zoom to 10MP with a 5X Zoom! And he can still put it in his pocket if he wants. Nice!

Summary: I Love this camera !!
Comment: I absolutely love this camera! It's smaller than my last camera... it has 3 more megapixels than my last camera... it has a more powerful zoom than my last camera... and it cost less than my last camera! And still with a high quality lens like Nikon always uses. It takes video too. And you could put it on a tripod and watch a plant grow by setting it to take photos at timed intervals.

Summary: Fantastic camera!
Comment: This camera is great! We bought it for a Christmas present for ourselves and have used it on family pictures, outdoor pictures and we have even taken pictures from inside the car through the windshield. They have all turned out great! I love the 10 megapixels and the large screen on the back. This is a great camera to buy!
